In order to participate you must be a registered DNNizen. What is the best process to apply a template to an existing page? Or can it even be done? I understand the content will be in goofy places, but the framework would be there.
If not, I guess the best process would be to create a new page with the template and move each module over? Does that pretty much sum it up? I think you are mixing up template and Theme or skin.
The module order will be "mixed up" when the new theme does not have the same pane names or they are layed out differently. Which is one of the reasons every skin must have a pane with that name, it's like a fallback pane. But when you do apply a new theme, the "only" thing you need to do is move the modules to the new panes and you should be fine. I think it will be back in the next upgrade.
