Now, having read through the thread I've been able to get his BT Vision box to come through the speakers, as well as the analogue and digital TV signals the TV recieves - but no matter what I try, I can't get sound from the to come though the speakers.

Am I missing something really obvious? From what I've read in this thread and others, it should be good to go - but for some reason it just won't play ball. Anyone else experience this or similar, and how did you get around it? Any help would be very much appreciated.

Well, strangely enough, I am now in a similar position myself, having got everything to work a few months ago! Now, like you, I'm adding an Xbox into the mix. Anyways, with my current set-up, I do have sound from my playing through my DAV. Maybe this is because the Composite input is being treated like a Scart input, in the same way as your BT Vision box? Theoretically you'd have thought that, irrespective of input type, whatever source material is displayed on the TV screen would have its sound played through the DAV, but perhaps this isn't the case with the 'proper' HD inputs?

Composite works OK, so a tick on that front, but I myself will be eagerly watching this thread to see if anyone can get sound working through HDMI. Sound won't be output from the tv's scart socket because you're inputing a digital signal via hdmi.

The only solution to get sound is connecting via scart instead of hdmi. Pat McGroyn Guest. I've tried pressing the TV input button on the remote but to no avail. Does anyone know if my TV is not compatable and thats the reason the DAV is not picking up the audio? Or are there other setting changes I need to make? Any help is much appreciated.
